Stay at the Château Albert Hotel

Experience a one-of-a-kind stay at the Château Albert as you spend the night in an authentic 20th century hotel! Standing tall amongst the Village’s houses, this building is an exact replica of the Château Albert Hotel designed by Acadian architect Nazaire Dugas. Built in Caraquet (NB) in 1907, the original hotel tragically burned down in 1955. Without televisions or phones, the hotel was built with utmost respect—minus a few exceptions—for historical accuracy. Every room has been designed with great attention to detail: claw-foot bathtub, wainscoting, and a warm ambiance intended for blissful relaxation. Time travel will have never felt this comfortable.

The Golden Clogs Walking Club

Here begins a wonderful adventure during which you will discover New Brunswick's Acadian landscape while minding your overall health!

The walking club operates from the first day of the Village's regular season until March 31st of the following year. This means that this year, the Club will be active from June 7th, 2022 to March 31st, 2023.

During summer season, walkers must stop by the Visitor's Centre to record the number of kilometers they have travelled or steps they have taken at the end of each visit.

The reception team will maintain each member's walking statistics.
**If you were a Golden Clogs member last year and did not reach all of the club goals, we will add this year stats to last years stats.**

When a walker reaches a goal, they will receive a small souvenir on site or by mail.
There is 30 goals to reach for a total of 1,352 km.

From mid-September to the end of March, walkers must log-in their kilometers at the Village's administration building after each visit. The Village's team will maintain each participating walker's statistics.

Registration for the walking club will begin on June 7th, 2022.
